The Importance of Maintaining the Apostolic Faith

I am a bit of a reluctant traditionalist. While I am intrigued by technology and I like to try new things, the Christian faith passed on to God’s saints is not open to innovation, as it was handed down to the apostles once and for all time in Holy Scripture as the apostle Paul teaches us in Galatians 1:6-9.

I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting him who called you in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel—  not that there is another one, but there are some who trouble you and want to distort the gospel of Christ.  But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed.  As we have said before, so now I say again: If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received, let him be accursed.

We are all indeed sinners and beggars at God’s table of grace. Only Jesus lived up to the demands of the Law, for us, so He could be our perfect sacrifice and take away our sins.

Even so, liberty is not license as Paul and the other apostles made clear. There is only one true, apostolic faith given to us in the Scriptures. Theology matters, and the Eternal Word does not change.
